Opening Day!
Ski season is getting started here in Leadville, Colorado! On Wednesday, December 11th, Ski Cooper will open its slopes to excited skiers and riders, marking the start of what promises to be another incredible season.
Nestled in the heart of this historic mining town at a breathtaking elevation of 10,200 feet, Ski Cooper is unlike any other resort in the Rockies. It’s a hidden gem that thrives on all-natural snow and genuine mountain-town vibes, and it’s ready to welcome visitors for a season of fresh tracks, incredible views, and an authentic skiing experience.
All-Natural Snow, No Snow Guns
While other resorts rely heavily on artificial snow, Ski Cooper stands out by embracing the natural snowfall that blankets the runs each winter. At this elevation, Mother Nature takes the lead, creating powder-filled slopes that give skiers a true, unfiltered taste of winter.
Ski Cooper’s commitment to all-natural snow means every run feels genuine, and every powder day is as real as it gets – exactly what locals and visitors alike cherish about this one-of-a-kind mountain.
Affordable Fun for All
Ski Cooper is excited to announce this year’s affordable day pass prices, providing families and hardworking individuals with an accessible way to enjoy skiing without breaking the bank. This offers a refreshing alternative to the high-priced passes at other resorts. With $45 lift tickets (Monday-Thursday, excluding Holiday & Spring Break Dates), hitting the slopes here is an affordable option for all.
Powder Magazine captured this announcement perfectly: “Ski Cooper is an independent ski area that isn’t beholden to the whims and prices of corporate overlords. Instead, it seems like the ski area is rolling back the clock to offer a more traditional skiing experience that many of us miss dearly.” Read More: Colorado Ski Area Slashes Lift Ticket Prices to $45
This accessible pricing, along with the resort’s laid-back atmosphere, makes Ski Cooper a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle of busier resorts and enjoy a day of skiing without the premium price tag.
