PREPARING FOR THE 2020-21 SEASON
The golden Aspen leaves of autumn have mostly fallen, thereās a chill in the air and a coating of fresh snow on the slopes. Itās that time of year when anticipation for the upcoming ski season overtakes you, making it hard to focus on other thingsā¦ā¦.in my case, akin to the Christmas Eve ābutterfliesā when I was a kid!
There is however a hint of disquiet surrounding this ski season due to the seemingly endless effects of COVID-19.Ā I want you all to know that we at Cooper are working diligently internally, and will be working Ā with Local and State Health officials to provide a framework for the upcoming ski season, doing our best to provide a healthy environment.Ā We have changed or eliminated programs, repurposed buildings to provide more seating and spread out our Food and Beverage options, enhanced our cleaning procedures, restructured our mountain access product offerings and many other alterations to our business operations.Ā Many of these things will seem foreign at first, but we believe that they will allow us to provide you with a much-needed alpine respite in the wide-open spaces of our beautiful mountain. I will share more details on what to expect once we have completed our operational plan and have received approval from Local and State Health agencies.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the beautiful Fall weather, stay healthy, and get ready because ski season will be here in no time!
Best,
Dan Torsell
