Limited Operations on Thursday, 12/22/22 Due to Weather
Dear Cooper Skiers,
We’re stoked for the snow in the forecast tonight into tomorrow, but unfortunately it is coming with frigid temperatures and high winds. With tomorrow’s forecasted high temperature of 4°F and steady winds in the 35mph range gusting to more than 60mph, the wind chill could be as low as -40°F. With your safety as our primary concern, we will not be operating the 10th Mountain Double or the Piney Basin Triple, and the Piney Basin area will be closed. We will operate the Buckeye Platter and the EZ Street Magic Carpet from 9am to 4pm, as long as we can do so safely. We will groom Buckeye, Last Chance, Slades, Way Back, Lower Molly Mayfield, Baby Doe Lane, and EZ Street for your corduroy enjoyment.
Ski School will operate for those who have purchased lessons and still wish to take them. The rental shop, retail shop, and base lodge services will all operate as usual.
If you do choose to ski on Thursday, please dress appropriately for the very cold and windy conditions, and come in to warm up whenever you’re feeling cold!
